Telling Time
I know that telling time is a skill that is studied in younger grades. However with such easy access to digital clocks, many grade 7/8 students never really mastered it in the earlier grades or have forgotten how to read analogue clocks. This is a useful life skill and aside from that, telling time with an analogue clock allows you to work with patterns in numbers and improve your number sense.
It Seems that the set the alarm game won't work as a link. Instead, please type the name "Set the Alarm" into google and get to the game that way.

Once you have watched the video and played the games. Self-assess. Do you now know better how to tell time on an analogue clock? If not, watch the video again and play the games again. After that, consider using other online resources or consult a peer, a friend, a sibling or a parent. Practice telling the time on an analogue clock instead of checking digital sources. Work with a partner to use the real analogue clock to practice telling time and setting the clock.
Long Multiplication
For the practice problems above, you will need to work them out on a paper and then type your answers in. The site does not correct your answers, but the answers are available below all of the questions.
Multiplaction by Math Frog is a good online game for practicing. It even corrects your work for you and you can show it all online. No paper required. However, it tells you where to put all of your values and specifies the order in which you have to place them. You will need to learn how to do this on your own at some point. So, don't use this as your only source of practice.
Multiplication Treasure Hunt - See if Mrs. Shwaluk can set up the multiplication treasure hunt for you to try.
Long Division
Note: The basic division video is a good introduction. However, it does not cover division to grade 7 level. In grade 7, you need to know how to divide completely, not stop at a remainder.
Now, none of these videos or games quite reach end of grade 7 level division. By the end of grade 7, you should be able to divide any number completely (even a decimal) by any divisor (up to a single digit without a calculator)
If you feel that you have mastered the skills instructed and tested in the games and videos above, see if you can extend to deal with decimals. Can you find any relevant videos or games or other online resources for those skills?
Converting Fractions to Decimals
There are plenty of strategies for converting fractions to decimals. The more number sense that you develop with fractions, place value, and decimals, the better able you will be to choose the most efficient method for each particular fraction.
After watching the videos, practice converting any fractions to decimals. You may even recognize some patterns right away. Soon, you will remember lots of decimal-fraction equivalents.
